The family’s spirits have seemed a little lifted this weekend. It really makes me happy. Aidan is not better of course but they all have a little less to worry about.
Have I told you I love this kid!
Wylie tells me Aidan has been drawing up a storm now that he is an Internationally recognized artist ;).
Thank you guys for making this a little more enjoyable for all of us. Helping them worry less and giving Aidan something else to concentrate on-his art. I could never say thank you enough. We love all of you 🙂
On another note, we would really like everyone’s help to pay it forward. We would love more than anything to help other children and families in this situation. So stick around, keep checking in on Aidan and we will keep you updated on this process as well.
❤
Aunt Mandi
You are such a wonderful Auntie, Mandi. I love hearing updates about Aidan. I wish our little Cooper can meet Aidan one day… as they are both going thru the same thing right now. It’s great to know that Aidan loves to draw because drawing is very therapeutic.
I have been following your little cooper’s story as well. Kids can be so brave! It is hard to see a nephew go through all of this I cannot imagine watching my baby go through it :(. In the end I have faith that they will both be well one day!
i heart this post. and aidan, of course, too. 🙂 it has been wonderful to see just how many great blessings can come out of a bad situation. i know it will not exactly be easy for the next few years, but in the end, he will be strong and thriving. it’s just great to see the outpour of support from everyone. you are an inspiration, aidan!!
Oh geez, I was trying to verbalize to someone the outpouring of support Aidan has had. And I cannot even explain it without tearing up! It is an amazing thing.
Hi Mandi! I saw the link to Aidan’s page on Facebook and just love it. I have a five year old son, as well, and I would love to have him send Aidan love snail mail love (he loves to draw, as well). Is there a P.O. Box or address of some sort that he could do that with?
Oooh would like to send aidan a postcard from South Africa – can you send me the full international address
Way to go, Aiden! Great taste in masks! The Lecherous Clown is absolutely awesome, tons of mask collectors have been buying those like crazy! Hold onto it, take good care of it, cuz it might be worth something some day. 😀
I have a 5 year old boy who also loves to draw monsters-he usually gives them as gifts for Christmas. We went on your site today and talked about what Aiden and his family are going through. We talked about the fact that he was only two when I got cancer ( gone!) and I can say I was so relieved that it was me and not one of my kids.
He decided that this year we will give Aiden’s drawings instead. In the words of a 5 year old “Not because he is sick Mom, because they are COOL”
Thank you for the chance to talk to my kid about cancer and art all at once!
Thank you! This is so sweet of you and means so much to us!
