Aidan’s Monsters Purchases

Hello Everyone! I just wanted to touch base with everyone that has purchased a print or plans on purchasing. EVERY item will require at least 6 to 8 weeks for shipping. In the begining (October 17th) I was only prepared to sell 60 prints. This was a huge set back when we hit 2,500 prints in 2 weeks! If you are waiting for a print PLEASE be patient. If you are just purchasing a print now, please do not expect to have it by Christmas. I am just finishing up October’s purchases and starting on November this weekend. I am hoping the process gets a little faster now that I have good (and quick!) suppliers behind me. We are all so very grateful for each and every contribution and can never say thank you enough!

Another point I want to mention is that Aidan is not signing prints at this point. We all need to remember he is still sick and he is still 5. Right now drawing is a fun hobby for him and the last thing we want to do is take that away and turn it into a “job.” I apologize for any inconvenience this may be to anyone.

Again thank you SO much for all of your support!

I just got mine in the mail this week and it made me smile to see that envelope in the mail box! Tell Aidan I love Frankenstein and I can’t wait to frame it and hang it up!

I got mine today. I had forgotten about it with everything else going on in life, but when I saw Aidan’s Monsters as the return address it put a smile on my face. It’s going to get framed after the holidays.
      Hope you’re feeling ok Aidan.

    Hi Mandi!

I was wondering who all is helping you manage sending all of the prints out? Do you need any help? I see you live in Peoria, and I live in Chicago and I’d be happy to come by and volunteer to help for a day if that makes any difference.

    Let me know!

  3. Aunt Mandi!

We are so inspired by you and your ‘auntpreneurial’ idea to help Aidan and his family raise the funds they need to support his medical care. It truly takes a village, especially when parents are focused on the care of a very ill child.

We’d like to feature your story on SavvyAuntie.com to inspire other Savvy Aunties just like you. SavvyAuntie.com is a Webby Award-nominated Best Family/Parenting Site 2009. I also have 28,000 Facebook Fans and 14,500 Twitter Followers who will love to hear your story.

May your nephew Aidan be fully well and cancer free in no time.

    Hi there!

I ordered a print from the Etsy Aid for Aidan shop a while back, and it just arrived! It came with a note saying there was a post error in the shipment, and that as an apology, two prints were enclosed. I just wanted to say that no apology was necessary at all (although I love the second print!); Aid for Aidan is a wonderful way to raise awareness and help, and I am glad to have participated.

    Thank you so much!

    Monica

Hi Mandi! My name is Sophie and I’m working for the London-based magazine, Recognise. We wanted to publish a little piece about Aidan in our latest issue on the theme of heroes. Aidan is our youngest hero! We need a photo to go with the piece, and I was wondering if it was possible for you to give us permission to use an image – either of Aidan or of one of his fun, colourful drawings?
Many thanks and best wishes for you and your family this Christmas,
    Sophie

    Hi Mandi!

I was really moved when I read about Aidan on CNN. As a result, I wrote a song for Aidan – it’s called “Monster in My Room”. It’s about Aidan’s monsters helping Aidan to fight his cancer. I hope this gets to Aidan so he can hear it. I am donating all profits for the song to Aidan’s family.

Here is the link to the song:

  12. I was wondering if I could receive some information regarding my 2 art treasures that I ordered around November 2010. I realize that the process is slow-I just wanted confirmation as to when I might receive my artwork. I already have a space on my kitchen wall for them. This way when people come into my home–I can tell them about these treasures and how a little bit does make a difference. My very best wishes to Aidan’s family and my prayers to Aidan. God Bless.
